Wellness Wednesday: Microwave Cooking
Last week we taught students how to cook a meal in a mug using dorm room microwaves. Hoyas were given the recipe and ingredients to make an Apple Crisp! Microwave cooking can be an effective technique for maintaining the nutritional values of your fruits and vegetables try not overcook them! As long as the ingredients remains “tender” and not “mushy”, you are getting the same nutritional value as steaming.
