Construction Begins!

We are very pleased to announce we will be launching several projects this summer to improve services to our community. These projects involve renovations to most all of our food service venues.

These projects are expected to be completed prior to the start of the fall semester and have a very aggressive timeline. You will begin to see preparations for this work in Leo O’Donovan Dining Hall (Leo’s) beginning April 6. Leo’s will be open and fully operational during this time and will not close for construction until May 22. Other important dates in the renovation schedule include the following:

May 14 – Hoya Court closes to begin construction of Chick-fil-A and Crop Chop, a salad and smoothie dining venue

During the renovations in Leo’s, a temporary food service tent will be placed in front of McDonough Arena. This temporary venue will be air-conditioned and will serve visitors attending summer classes, conferences and camps.

Other operations that will remain open this summer include:

  • Bulldog Tavern
  • Marketplace Express | Leavey Center
  • POD Market | GUMC
  • Starbucks | Leavey Center

In addition to the above dining options, three food trucks will be located outside Harbin Hall, Monday through Friday during lunch hours beginning May 29.

Follow future updates sharing updates as we work to complete these projects.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility while we work to bring so many exciting new dining options to campus.
